My year has been qute stressful so far too - and also not in an entirely good/productive way... But your comments about becoming the person you were (in a way) before you had A were fascinating. As one who is not a parent, I have recently begun to think about where my youth went - poor old me! And about all the things I wished I had done when I was 20. And when I told another friend this, she simply asked, "Well, what's stopping you from doing them now?" And I thought that was a good question...
Maybe it's an age thing, rather than an "empty nest" thing? Perhaps we all have a second youth in which to explore parts of ourselves..?
AmandaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27999395.post-62879531400738275122009-04-04T23:58:00.000+01:002009-04-04T23:58:00.000+01:00Hi there. Glad to kow you're still using this medium - a relief for those of us who haven't (yet) caught up with Facebook, Twitter, and all the other things we're supposed to be using to keep in touch other than - the phone, letters, and even email seems old hat to some. Hey Ho.
The mountain stuff sounds great. No sign here yer of any return to 'basics' but who knows....Hope all goes well with the new projects(s).
Love from usAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
